As a bit of humour I came across this on YouTube I have to say its pretty fun although not suitable for some
Rumour has it that Apple may have something really juicy up their sleeves. DigiTimes has reported that it believes Apple will release an Intel laptop with flash based cache for super fast startups and performance. The laptop is expected to be based on Intels Robson technology which makes use of flash memory to increase performance.
Not much more information was available on this particular rumour.
A few weeks ago the 1GB shuffle disappeared off the radar and everybody shouted “update” well now its back, although its carrying lead times of 3-4 days.
The question is are Apple putting up that message to hold people off for a few more days until MWSF or are they genuine and actually did run out of stock. Only time will tell but an update just doesn’t fit the line up at this point in time.
Readers around the Mac web noticed this afternoon that Apple had accidentally posted a link to its new iLife ‘06 product, expected to be released next Tuesday at MWSF.

The page listed the usual suspects, i.e Garageband, iPhoto, iTunes but also mentioned an extra, iWeb.
Some readers also noted that the Garageband page mentioned the importing of video, possibly for video Podcasts.
In usual Apple slip up fashion all signs of the pages and links disappeared, but not without some people grabbing screenshots.
ThinkSecret has posted a report claiming that Apple will be showing off some radical news products at NAB this year, the show is taking place between the 22nd and 27th of April in Las Vegas.
According to the report new products will include Final Cut Pro 6, Final Cut Extreme and Xserve RAID Extreme. Final Cut Pro 6 is said to include new features such as 5.1 Surround sound editing, 1080/24p and 1030/30p DVCPROHD support whereas no details are supplied on for Final Cut Pro Extreme but is described as “an extremely high end version of its video software”, likely to be priced around the $10,000 mark.
Also noted is the Xserve RAID which is said to be dubbed Extreme which will feature an Infiniband Link rather than the current Fibre Channel, as well as supporting more capacity.
Finally the article also hints at the possibility of a larger Cinema Display supporting a reoslution of 4520×2540 and an upcoming digital video camera.
This new AirPort firmware update contains versions 5.7 and 6.3 for the Extreme and Express base stations, respectively.
It addresses reliability and resolves issues with AirTunes, AirPort compatibility, and issues with some third party Routers.
Fixes:
-Resolves issue with Audio dropout when playing to AirPort Express with AirTunes
-Resolves issue with Wireless Disabled mode for AirPort Express
-Resolves issue with AirPort Extreme LAN Performance
-Resolves issue when enabling AOL Parental Controls
-Resolves issue with vulnerability to Denial of Service Attacks (bonk)
-Resolves issue with wireless internet access through AirPort via some PPPoA DSL Routers
-Improved reliability when printing through AirPort base stations
-Improved support for RADIUS servers
-Improved support for Network Time Servers (NTP) for AirPort when using an IP addresses

Apple are giving much better descriptions of updates now a days.
As we’ve mentioned before World of Apple is committed to bringing you the best Keynote Coverage known to the Mac web and we’ve well and truly cracked it.
We currently has three methods in place that could connect us to the internet while the Keynote is taking place, the first method is pretty standard and uses our mobile phones as modems via bluetooth, the connection rate is quite fast and reliable and should be our primary method of connection.
The second method is purely for backup and is guaranteed to get us Internet access, we have rented a small bidirectional satellite dish which connects to the Internet anywhere in the world. It can easily be concealed in a bag and still be effective.
Our final methods includes a Pringles can and some poor DIY skills, we will use a series of Pringles cans to create a powerful Wi-Fi network from the hotel into the Moscone centre, we’re not joking!
This is all incase Apple decide to switch off the Airport which they usually do, of course if they keep it on then all our efforts will have been in vein but its the thought that counts.
Here’s what our head developer had to say on the project:
The Keynote Coverage system uses the latest internet buzzword, AJAX, to ensure a smooth process for the user as well as lighter load on the servers. Requests are made to the server for raw data, which is then processed and output by the user without the need for page refreshes. Submitting to the system can be done via WAP or a standard browser, so World of Apple is never far away.
During and up to the Keynote the whole site will be redirecting to http://live.worldofapple.com
Wish to mock us on our efforts on wish us good luck then place your comments on our Keynote Coverage in this post.
First of all we’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy New Year and we hope you have all recovered from the festivities.
This week is of course the final countdown to MacWorld San Francisco and here at World of Apple we are ready and raring to go. We leave for San Francisco on Friday and for that reason there will be no Special Article this week, sorry.
But we’ve got something even better for you, on our visit to San Francisco and surrounding area we hope to provide you with not just excellent coverage of the show but with photographs of everything that is happening, we’ll have staff snooping the Moscone premises for clues and others will be heading to Infinite Loop to grab some snaps of our beautiful Mecca.
Have a good week and don’t get too excited!
