Apple Drops Second Mac OS X 10.6.3 Build in One Week [Seed Notes]

Apple yesterday dropped the second build of Mac OS X 10.6.3 to developers, just two days after a previous release developers. Mac OS X 10.6.3 build 10D572 is just one increment from the previous build released on Tuesday.

The build delivers multiple enhancements and contains a new list of focus areas, build 10D572 still contains one known issue.

Mac OS X 10.6.3 Build 10D571 Available to Developers [Seed Notes]

A little under two weeks after Apple previously seeded a build of Mac OS X 10.6.3 the company has released a new seed labelled 10D571.

Mac OS X 10.6.3 has been in developer testing since early January and continues to deliver enhancements and bug fixes. Unlike previous builds 10D571 comes with one known issue.

Mac OS X 10.6.3 Remains in Developer Testing [U]

Apple today released another build of Mac OS X 10.6.3 to registered developers. Build 10D567 is reportedly similar to previous builds and follows just six days after the last release.

Mac OX 10.6.3 build 10D567 weighs in at 718.7MB as a delta download, 783.3MB as a combo update.

Attached notes below. Mac OS X 10.6.3 continues to contain no known issues. Developers are asked to focus their attention on Graphics Drivers, iChat, QuickTime, Printing and Rosetta.

The 10.6.3 Update is recommended for all users running Mac OS X Snow Leopard and includes general operating system fixes that enhance the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac, including fixes that:

  • improve the reliability and compatibility of QuickTime X
  • address compatibility issues with OpenGL-based applications
  • address an issue that causes background message colors to display incorrectly in Mail
  • resolve an issue that prevented files with the # or & characters in their names from opening in Rosetta applications
  • resolve an issue that prevented files from copying to Windows file servers
  • improve performance of Logic Pro 9 and Main Stage 2 when running in 64-bit mode
  • improve sleep and wake reliability when using Bonjour wake on demand
  • address a color issue in iMovie with HD content
  • improve printing reliability
  • resolve issues with recurring events in iCal when connected to an Exchange server
  • improve the reliability of 3rd party USB input devices
  • fix glowing, stuck, or dark pixels when viewing video from the iMac (Late 2009) built-in iSight camera

Apple Continues Mac OS X 10.6.3 Testing [Seed Notes]

Apple has once again released a build of Mac OS X 10.6.3 to developers for testing prior to a public release. The build labelled 10D561 is largely similar to previous releases and continues to contain no known issues.

Of note Mac OS X 10.6.3 10D561 is different to previous builds and indicative of a nearing release as the download is now available to developers in both delta and combo formats, which is the method of delivery to the public upon release. The delta download size is reported to be 787MB.

Mac OS X 10.6.3 Nears Release With Latest Build [Seed Notes]

Apple today has released the next build of Mac OS X 10.6.3 to registered developers.

The latest build labelled 10D558 and weighing in at 710.5MB has been delivered in close proximity to the last build and the attached notes remain unchanged. Sources continue to insist to World of Apple that a release is imminent.

Mac OS X 10.6.3 Build 10D552 Available, Release Imminent

Less than a week after the previous seed Apple has given developers access to the latest build of Mac OS X 10.6.3, labelled 10D522.

The build which weighs in at 737.2MB contains almost identical seed notes to the previous build and still contains no known issues. Sources suggest that Apple is prepping a public release of Mac OS X 10.6.3 this week.

The build comes with only three focus areas, AirPort, GraphicsDrivers and QuickTime.

Mac OS X 10.6.3 Build 10D548 Unleashed [Seed Notes]

Developers received the latest build of Mac OS X 10.6.3 late Friday evening. Since the last build released on January 22, Apple has added a further 9 enhancements and removed any currently known issues.

The latest build labelled 10D548 asks for developers to focus on five areas when testing their applications in this build.

Developers Receive Latest Mac OS X 10.6.3 Build [Seed Notes]

Over the weekend developers began receiving the latest build of Apple’s third update to Mac OS X Snow Leopard. The latest build of Mac OS X 10.6.3 is labelled 10D538 and weighs in at 772.9MB.

The latest build contains just one known issue affecting Front Row and the number of focus areas has reduced to just four.

The first build of Mac OS X 10.6.3 was delivered to developers towards the start of December last year. The last seed was released in early January.

Apple Releases First Build of Mac OS X 10.6.3 [U: Seed Notes]

Apple has today given developers the first build of Mac OS X 10.6.3. The update which is labelled build 10D522 weighs in at 666MB and is said to contain over 200 fixes and enhancements.

The build contains four known issues for the build listed as Displays preferences, iTunes hangs, and ColorSync Utility Filters and issues with application updating.

Apple to Begin Testing Mac OS X 10.6.3

AppleInsider writes that Apple is intending to present developers with an external build of Mac OS X 10.6.3 this week.

The third update to Snow Leopard is expected to arrive with developers sometime on Thursday and according to AppleInsider will carry the build prefix of 10Dxx.
