Security Update 2008-007 Released

Apple has today released the seventh security update of calendar 2008 which fixes numerous security issues including one introduced by the Mac OS X 10.5.5 update.

The security update which is available for both Mac OS X Leopard and Tiger fixes holes in ColorSync, Finder, general Mac OS X networking, PSNormalizer, QuickLook, root certificates, Script Editor and much more.

Security Update 2008-005 Released

Apple has today released Security Update 2008-005 for users of Mac OS X Server 10.4, Mac OS X 10.4.11, Mac OS X Server 10.5, and Mac OS X 10.5.4.

The update includes many security improvements but of particular attention is that Apple has fixed a serious DNS/BIND server vulnerability where an attacker could cause a Mac OS X DNS server to direct clients to forged websites.

Security Update 2008-004 for Tiger Users

Following the release of Mac OS X 10.5.4, Apple has released a security update aimed at users of Mac OS X 10.4.11.

Security Update 2008-004 is recommended for all Tiger clients and servers and improves the security of Mac OS X. Previous security updates have been incorporated into this security update.
