Orange has today officially announced that both the iPhone and iPhone 3GS will be available on the network later this year.

The company will now be selling iPhone units in 28 countries around the world.

No information about tariff prices or availability were given but those interested can register their interest for more information.

O2’s exclusivity over the iPhone is also due to run out later this year but will continue to sell the iPhone across the UK. The company also issued a statement this morning:

“We’re proud that we’ve been able to offer an exclusive iPhone deal to our 20 million customers for the last two years. We always knew that iPhone exclusivity was for a limited period of time, but our relationship with Apple continues and will be an ongoing success. We have over 1million iPhone customers and they remain very important to us.”
