AppleInsider reports that refreshed iMacs with “classier enclosures” and a “few added bells and whistles” could be unleashed as soon as this month.

According to the rumour site the iMac units were finalised in early September and have been moving out to the retail channels for roughly two weeks. The new iMacs are expected to come in at new cheaper prices as well as thinner enclosures, possibly taking cues from Apple’s current Cinema Displays.

Additionally Blu-ray is said to be on the cards for the lineup as well as enhancements related to audio.

AppleInsider believes that the new iMacs could be released as early as next week or as late as mid-October.
