Two particularly poignant details not fully revealed by Apple are a new feature called “Find My iPhone” and the extent of the iPhones tethering abilities.

Detailed by AppleInsider the feature “Find My iPhone” will let users remotely pinpoint the location of their iPhone via Apple’s MobileMe service.
The setting can be found along with the other MobileMe settings on the iPhone and when enabled an alert reads “this enables the “Find my iPhone” service on your MobileMe account at me.com.” The feature appears to obtain the current iPhone location and report back to the original owner in the event it is lost or stolen.

In other news the tethering feature which was discussed by Apple on Tuesday appears to allow tethering via both USB and Bluetooth.
Tethering is a feature that allow a computer to use the internet connection of the iPhone.
