Mac Rumors reports on several occurrences over the last few days that would indicate an imminent update to the iMac. The rumour site states that resellers have lows stocks and some educational Apple sales reps have been given the go-ahead for special pricing on the current stock of iMacs.

Additionally Mac Rumors posts an image showing an advert for an iMac based on NVIDIA chips. This would be in line with expectations after Apple switched all of its notebooks last October.
