Hi Chewie, are you accusing Apple's attorneys of perpetrating a fraud upon the Court? Would you like to give me some specific examples cases that they allegedly stalled upon? I would love to research them. I could be wrong, but I suspect you are simply repeating something that a friend of a friend of a friend said and that you have no specific cases. I would be pleased to check them out, please send me the relevant information. You do know that purposefully stalling litigation is a professional violation for any attorney that does so right? That attorneys who do that regularly can lose their licenses to practice law? Are you really sure you want to throw out such reckless allegations? Right now you are throwing out potentially libelous statements and generalities.

Would you consider investors to be other involved people? I know to a reasonable degree of certainty that there are unnamed investors. Apple's allegation is too vague for my liking, but whatever they intend to mean they have good faith basis to believe it. If you don't believe so, you are accusing their attorneys of professional misconduct. Are you sure you want to do that? That is easy to do on an anonymous comment system. As far as the comments I have made regarding Psystar's attorneys sloppy work product, Psystar has personal access to me, and there attorneys can take that up personally with me. Do you have the guts to make such accusations to Apple's attorneys? I will give you their contact information if you do. I don't want to know who you are, but I have made certain comments about Psystar after first letting them know I was going to publish it, giving them time to comment or amend, and they know my full contact information. If you are not willing to do the same, I have to give it the credibility of an anonymous person who has given me no proof to investigate.

Your comments on desktop sales and the like have nothing to do with the article. I don't comment on things I have not done adequate research on. I do know you neglect to mention that all desktop sales have dropped in general. Laptop sales are where it is at right now, and Apple is excelling in that market. Why did you fail to mention that?

And they sue everyone? That's odd since my next article has a few people trumpeting about how Apple hasn't sued certain people. Which is it? Do they sue everyone or not? Another blanket ad hominen.

As far as the clone argument, that is not something I have been invited by my editor to write upon here, but I will write upon it at my own site. I will post a link here when I do, so keep watch. If I somehow forget, please do give me a gentle nudge. My memory isn't what it used to be.

I don't think anyone else is behind it although Apple would love to find someone, just paranoia. They sue everyone but stall on all cases against them. Same as they patent ideas that have been around for years (3D desktop).

Apple's desktop sales have dropped big time over the last year and I don't see the next "JobsFest" turning that around. The economic downturn will see more people turn back to Windows just for affordability when they need to replace equipment. If they sold the OS there would be another income and they may stand a chance of getting above 6% worldwide.

If you can install OS X with very little modification on a home-built PC it tells me that the Apple are using modified PC's, not Mac's. That never happened on the old Mac's.

Let me re-phrase, do you have any comments that are on topic to the article? Do you think Psystar did deny the involvement of others?

(Oh and I have given your anti-clone-terminology some thought, and you are wrong. I will write about that at idrankthekoolaid.com as it is more of an opinion piece that belongs there rather than here.)

Well I am glad that you at least made a substantive comment rather than a personal insult. I may agree with you that the "clone" language might not be the best descriptive at this point in time.

Do you care to discuss the actual legal issues rather than your personal emotions?

I feel fine cheers. The funny thing is that people call these machines clones when all Apple machines are now PC clones.

I work in law, I don't find it boring. I don't have time to waste though on going around posting negativity on blog posts I am not interested in. I hope that made you feel better about yourself.
