Apple has been testing Mac OS X 10.5.6 since late October and it now seems that the development is wrapping up and the sixth update to Mac OS X Leopard is ready to ship to customers.
In the last week Apple has released a flurry of builds to developers, usually a good sign of nearing the end of the testing and development cycle.
Mac Rumors is also reporting that its sources believe the update could be available as early as today (Friday 12).
Mac OS X 10.5.6 is said to encompass over 150 bug fixes in the latest builds.

I hope this will be the final milestone for all those claiming they want Leopard ‘completely stable’ before moving from Tiger.
All this time in development, I have a sneaking suspicion the mass of stability checks is because the might be using this as a base for SL?
