Hopefully Finder will be more stable. I find that mac will stay up for quite a while, then all of a sudden without warning-BOOM-it crashes and I have to end up restarting by the button

You’ll be waiting at least another 6 months. Don’t hold your breath.

Cocoa is like a programming language. All you need to know is that Finder will be faster.

This release is still being built. It’s not a beta.. not even an alpha right now. Finder is partially re-written because that’s how far they have got with it.

Nice changes out there.

I’d like to check out new Snow Leopard Beta.
What about performance? Why Finder was rewritten in Cocoa only partialy?

Thet should check Bluetooth also, in Leopard from time to time it hang’s and disapear from system.

This build also uses HFS+ file system for compression for read-only files which allows reduced weight of Snow Leopard along with the stock Mac apps. 64 bit kernal is also under way but it only works for some macs in this release.
