I am surprised I didn't catch that. I am even more surprised that such a sloppy pleading was filed in Federal Court. I am not a lawyer, but I am a legal assistant. In that capacity I am often assigned the task of proofreading draft court filings. I certainly am not perfect, but those were glaring in a such a short document. "Defendant ... have attempted..." When an entire company is named as the defendant, it is treated as singular, which requires "has attempted" in this context. My guess is this case will be thrown out as without merit. That’s not the only grammar issue here.
