The majority of apps appear to be Free or priced at $9.99 (£5.99).
Apple has also included an application that it has built in-house called Remote (iTunes Link). Remote is available for free and is described as having the ability to control music on your computer or Apple TV from an iPhone or iPod touch.

Nope, not for me. Downloaded iTunes 7.7 for Windows this morning, opened the iTunes store, no app store anywhere.
As a matter of fact, I went to the .Mac login site this morning and got the MobileMe login. I logged in, worked fine - went to the Address Book, did some editing, when it Froze. Locked up Safari.
Went back after relaunching Safari for Windows, it now says it is unavailable, and is down for maintenance!
