Gizmodo is claiming that it is “highly probable” that the iPhone 2.0 firmware will reach GM (Golden Master) this coming Friday. The article originally stated that the software would also ship this Friday but has been updated to state that it will ship on July 11.
The iPhone 2.0 OS update will be available as a free update to existing iPhone owners and a $9.99 update for iPod touch owners. The biggest features in the update are the extensive collection of tools for Enterprise customers, including highly sought after Exchange support.
