After months of testing Apple has released Mac OS X 10.5.3 to the public.

The update which weighs in at a mighty 420MB is described as follows by Apple:

The 10.5.3 Update is recommended for all users running Mac OS X Leopard and includes general operating system fixes that enhance the stability, compatibility and security of your Mac.

Apple also has a document listing the massive list of improvements that Mac OS X 10.5.3 brings, some highlights include:

  • RAW support for more cameras
  • Address Book can now sync with Google Contacts
  • Includes multiple fixes with Time Machine and Time Capsule
  • Improves 802.1X behavior and reliability
