Rogers to Bring iPhone to Canada Later This Year

Canadian carriers Rogers Wireless has officially announced that it will carry the iPhone later this year.
Ted Rogers, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rogers Communications Inc. today issued the following statement: We’re thrilled to announce that we have a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year. We can’t tell you any more about it right now, but stay tuned.

Why make this announcement? It’s exactly the same as the ‘accidental’ statement last year. It basically says “sometime in the future, we will offer the iPhone.” I guess this is Ted’s way of telling us that we should stock up on Vaseline, cuz we’re going to take it up the a$$ when they do get around to selling it.
