Apple Warns of Looming WWDC Deadline
Apple has changed the Apple.com homepage to remind those wishing to attend WWDC 2008 that early registration ends on April 25th.
iPhone SDK Beta 4 Released
Apple has also released a new beta of the iPhone SDK. Beta 4 contains numerous bug fixes and additions.
The fourth beta version of the iPhone SDK includes Xcode IDE, iPhone simulator with Open GL ES support, Interface Builder, Instruments, frameworks and samples, compilers, and Shark analysis tool.
You can download the SDK update by logging into the iPhone Dev center and clicking the download link.
TUAW has excellent coverage of the new beta and writes the following piece of interest:
“There are definitely some very interesting methods added to UIApplication’s delegate, including methods for badging the Springboard icon, and methods related to gaining and resigning “active” status – seems like background apps may be permitted somehow.”
