T-Mobile to Bring iPhone to Germany

Apple and T-Mobile Germany have today announced that T-Mobile will exclusively carry the iPhone in Germany.
Calling it “the best mobile device currently on the market,” Hamid Akhavan, CEO, T-Mobile International, said he is convinced that they can get their “customers excited about experiencing the mobile internet with the iPhone.”
The iPhone will use T-Mobile’s EDGE network and will be Wi-Fi compatible, giving users the ability to connect to 8,600 T-Mobile HotSpots in Germany.
The iPhone will be released on November 9th for €399. The iPhone will be sold through Telekom Shops of Deutsche Telekom and the T-Mobile web shop. iPhone requires a new 2-year T-Mobile tariff.
VNUNet.com also reports that T-Mobile will carry the iPhone in Austria, the Netherlands, Hungary and Croatia.
