AppleInsider writes an article about Apple’s future plans to build a two-story Flagship Apple store in Canada’s second largest city, Montreal.

The news site reports that Apple has secured 9,300 square feet of space along 1300 block of Rue Ste-Catherine Ouest where it will radically alter the current structure.

The plans appear to include razing the entire ground floor of the structure, re-arrange the existing column layout and add a new roof and external stainless steel cladding.

The plans point towards a glass staircase feature inside, similar to that of the SoHo, 5th Avenue, San Francisco and Regent Street, London locations.

Apple hopes to begin operating out of the Montreal location during the summer or early “fall” of next year.
