AppleInsider reports that Apple’s press department have been phoning round journalists inviting them to a media event next Tuesday, August 7th.
The site reports that unlike past events in which Apple sent out email invitations, this time the company just phoned around inviting select members of the media.
AppleInsider writes that the event will be strictly Mac based with Apple personnel ensuring members of the media that no iPod or iPhone announcement will take place.
The event will begin at 10.00am PST and will take place in the Apple Town Hall on the Cupertino campus.
AppleInsider pinpoints next Tuesday as the launch date for the long rumoured iMac refreshes as well as the release of the new Apple keyboard.
The site also mentions that Steve Jobs who is reportedly presenting, will show off the next revisions of iLife and iWork.
