Think Secret reports that Apple is set to release a brand new version of its full-size iPod towards the front end of August.
The iPod is said not to include a touch-screen nor any form of OS X. Apple has instead shaved off some height while maintaining the same size and resolution display.
The videos that we saw over the week are said to be confirmed as the new iPod OS taking a few hints of design from the iPhone.
The black iPod is also rumoured to be less glossy then the original and now matches the colour of the black MacBook better.
Sources also report the new black iPod will be less glossy than previous models and feature a finish that better matches the black MacBook. Those same sources have also seen prototypes in colors other than black and white, suggesting Apple may finally expand its full-size iPod line to other colors, as it has done with the iPod mini, nano, and shuffle previously. It is unclear whether the decision to offer other colors has been finalized, however.
