When Apple updated its iPhone specification page earlier today it was revealed that iPhone will require and updated version of iTunes.

Looking back to Macworld, the iTunes used in the Keynote was different to that used in Apple’s iPhone demonstration videos. With a ringtone being apparent in a photograph snapped by Engadget.

Mac Rumors is reporting that iTunes 7.3 will allow you to convert any song in your library into a ringtone. The cost will apparently be $.99.

It has also been noted that when Apple put its Question and Answers page up it showed a screenshot of iTunes with 8 tabs, versus 6 which is in the preview videos for iPhone.

Apple has been quick to change the screenshot to show 6 tabs.
