Mac Rumors, AppleInsider and Think Secret are all reporting that Apple is planning to release updated MacBook Pro’s as early as this coming Tuesday.
AppleInsider offers some brief details on the update, the MacBook Pro’s are said to take some enhancements from Intel’s Santa Rosa platform as well as LED-backlit displays.
The site also reports that unconfirmed sources claim that Apple has accidentally fired off an email to distributors and dealers in the US regarding the update.
The email which is said to be titled “Setup info for new SKUs” reportedly contained new part numbers, product dimensions and shipping weight. For the two 15-inch models the shipping weight was said to be 10lbs and 11lbs for the 17-inch, compared to the current 10.4lbs and 11.6lbs respectively.
Prices were said to be unchanged.
Think Secret offers no details on the update but does specify this coming Tuesday as a date.
