Apple today re-opened the renovated Regent Street Apple Store in London. The event which coincided with a one-day sale makes the Store the largest Apple Store in the world, taking back the title from the recently opened Fifth Avenue Store in New York.
Apple’s senior director of international retail, Steve Cano spoke to members of the press earlier today confirming that the store is now “Over 28,000 square feet of selling space”, up from its previous 18,500 square feet.
The store now features a Genius Bar, iPod Bar as well as a larger Studio.
Cano added, “The personalised service is enormously popular, in the iPod Bar, the Genius Bar, as well as personalised training in the studio - all free to customers that buy a Mac. It’s above and beyond what you’d normally see in a retail environment.”
The centre piece of the Store is the new glass elevator, inspired by the Fifth Avenue Store.
World of Apple will present photos of the newly opened Store over the coming week.
