AppleInsider has learned that Apple plans to update both the MacBook and MacBook Pro before the Holiday season.

The reports claims that all the models of MacBook are ready with Core 2 Duo processors and all that’s left is for Apple marketing to pull the trigger.

It appears that the ship date for said notebooks is unknown and could be as late as November.

AppleInsider also speculates on the specifications of the upcoming MacBook line and expects the specs to be similar to the current line-up due to Merom (Core 2) being clocked very similarly. Although a higher clocked MacBook Pro is expected with a clock speed of 2.33GHz.
