As reported back in August, MacWorld today received further confirmation and Apple has now officially handed out invitations to the event to be held at Photokina on September 25.

As previously reported the invitation points directly at an update to Aperture.

To clarify with this mornings confusion MacWorld.com produced a publishing mistake which caused us to report a second Special Event, this is no longer the case, only one event.
