Inte Core Duo Price Drops?

The Inquirer claims that it expects Intel’s Core Duo processors to drop in price around the 28th of May.
The 2.16GHz Core Duo which is a build to order chip on the MacBook Pro is expected to drop in price by $214 per chip. The 1.83GHz and 1.66Ghz chips are expected to drop by $129 and $54 respectively.
It is unknown whether the price drop will directly affect the price of Intel Macs.

Maybe they’ll drop but I doubt it. Around September the Core chips come out, correct? I’m waiting for a 2.16 or 2.33GHz Merom with Leopard and 8x dual-layer Superdrive. Hopefulyy all that by Christmas (pushing it).
