As reported on last week French Lawmakers voted on an online copyright bill that aims to break exclusive formats from the likes of Apple, Sony and Microsoft.
The bill was approved 296-193 and will now be debated by the Senate which is expected to take place in May.
If the bill is finalised and approved it would force Apple, Sony and Microsoft to share proprietary anti-copy technologies so that rivals can offer compatible services and players.
