PowerPage has made a reports stating that it believes Apple could release a 42″ and 50″ Plasma displays at MWSF.
The report states that the displays would be powered by Viiv, the prices are said to be $2599 and $3299 respectively.
The report is very unusual and Powerpage aren’t usually spot on with their details.

Even if it is true; those prices would mean the 50″ would cost only £100 more than the 30″. Have to admit though, a 50″ monitor would be amazing

I dunno, that seems a bit odd to me. I mean plasma screens aren’t exactly the latest and greatest in screen technology, and what about screen burn, plasmas don’t have the best life span long term.
I doubt apple will release something like this, certainly not on plasma screens, and not those sizes. It’s more likely they will be focusing on showing off their new software updates in iLife and maybe a few new apps like the rumored iWeb, plus maybe the new form factored notebook range and maybe something about the shuffle?
Although who knows what could happen at this weeks macworld??
