In 2004 Apple spent $206 million on advertising this year they spent $287 million, that’s a 40 percent increase. And for the record in 2003 Apple spent $193 million, this information has been release in Apple’s annual report filed to the Securities and Exchange Commision.

Although not a big amount of spending compared to some firms, Apple has spent a significant amount more though, so you can ask yourself, where has all that money gone?

Well we all know that Apple produce some incredible adverts and there is no arguing that they equate to massive sales especially this Christmas where advertising seems to be high on Apple’s agenda.

But many people have questioned why Apple refuses to advertise the Macintosh, and Mac OS X but maybe Apple have something very nice up there sleeves, which lets be honest, they always do.
