The long rumoured update to the PowerBooks has finally arrived unfortunately lacking any kind of speed boost.

But as anticipated the PowerBooks now feature much higher resolution screens but not of HD quality. The 12″ PB was untouched while the whole line received SuperDrives across the line and 30″ Cinema HD Display support.

The line now looks like this (broken down);

  • 15″ at 1440×960 priced at $1999
  • 17″ at 1680×1050 priced at $2499
