To be kind and make your life much easier we have rounded all of the rumours concerning tomorrow into one neat package. If you’ve got anything to add then please don’t hesitate to leave a comment.

Anyone attending tomorrows Special Event, we would like to hear from you at this address

Madonna nano

This rumour wasn’t even started by the Mac community, it was in fact started by a Madonna fan club forum, fairs fair it doesn’t seem to be such a bad prediction. Although they have no inside information and no rumour sites are able to cough up any further details all you have to do is look at the details to notice an emerging pattern. First of all Madonna put her whole catalogue onto iTunes and shares a live chat with Steve Jobs during a Keynote. Secondly Madonna hinted heavily towards the number of iPods she owned and the amount Apple release, could have been hinting towards the nano release but I just got a feeling about this, and finally Madonna was featured in the advert for the ROKR, not a big thing but she keeps popping up more often than she ever has before.

Increased Pricing for iTunes

According to some highly credited new sources it appears that the music industry is perplexed by Apple’s one price suits all attitude and wants to introduce flexible pricing. All I can say on this is yes its possible but you’d have to lock Steve Jobs in a room with tin foil walls not to be affected by his Reality Distortion Field®.

Not only that but why would Apple hold a special event to announce something that would be deemed bad.

Online Movie Store

Now this is a difficult one, I’m not aware of one single positive source of information that directly refers to this without mentioning that Apple wouldn’t release an iPod video without having media for it. As true as that may sound its difficult to weigh up the sheer cost that offering full movie downloads would cost Apple and the film industry as a whole.

Updated Pro Line Machines

This has been a slagging match by AppleInsider and Think Secret and us here at WOA. Think Secret originally posted an article stating that this Wednesdays Special Event will be used to announce slightly bumped Powerbooks and Power Macs but is yet to supply the great detail that it is famous for.

Although rumblings are currently strong that Quad Processor Mactel’s are in the line due to last nights screenshot being posted to the web it appears that the screenshot was fake and the likeliness of this appearing tomorrow is extremely slim.

Upgraded iPod

Think Secret has been the only source to report that Apple is expected to simply release updated versions of its current iPod with capacities jumping to 40GB and 80GB and the pricing structure staying the same, it also expects two colours to be release of each model, black and white.

Airport Express / Airport with Video

Although details are slim and sites have rumoured very little about this, it has come to some individuals attentions that the Pre N wireless standard is in use by some wireless manufacturers and that Apple has always been keen to make new standards the norm across its products. Pre N or 802.11n would be capable of streaming full quality video and some have speculated in conjunction with iPod video rumours that the two devices could link together to stream video around your home.

Video iPod

Every-time we do a rumour roundup we cover this one, its been on the cards for months even years and we are yet to see any sign of it. Well this time things seem to be different, we here at World of Apple received out own inside information that Apple are preparing three new iPods some featuring Video and Wireless capabilities, yet we are unable to guarantee the validity of this rumour. We were also informed to expect capacities of 40GB, 60GB and the possibility of 80GB.

Add to the equation that AppleInsider also reported the possibility and then on October 5th BBC 6 Music mentioned during its news show that Apple are expect to release a new iPod video at the BBC Television Centre, this could simply be conjecture but there are quite a few sources adding up on this one.

On the other hand Think Secret has continuously dismissed the idea of the video iPod for the last week, Think Secret has written that the iPod will simply receive and update with no sign of video features. It went on to state that two new colours will be released and pricing will stay the same as it is now. It expects the colours to be white and black to match the nano.

On a final note Steve Jobs has said many times that he has no intentions of creating an iPod video but we know SJ, when he sees an opening in the market he grasps it, we’ll leave you with this to digest.

“We think basically you watch television to turn your brain off, and you work on your computer when you want to turn your brain on.” Steve Jobs
