Apple has introduced a new option to the .Mac service, the option allows users to increase the amount of storage they have and the amount of bandwidth they are able to use.

Up until today users have been capped to 3GB of bandwidth a month but now users can acquire more bandwidth using the “Buy More” button on their account page.

Two options are now available, as standard .Mac subscribers receive 250MB of storage and 3GB of monthly data transfer, the upgrade now offers users 1GB of storage and 10GB of bandwidth, at an additional cost of £34.99 per year.

This is a welcome improvement to the quality of the .Mac service which is often criticised for its value for money.
